Home Soldeu - Andorra

Adventure, dreamlike landscapes and relaxation. Music and Romanesque art. Gastronomy and business. All in an area of 468 km2 in a small independent country – the only co-principality in the world – with more than a thousand years of history.

Situated between France and Spain, Andorra is known for its world-class ski resorts with more than 300 km of skiable terrain. Not forgetting its nature: 90% of the country is covered by forest and one of its valleys, Madriu, is a UNESCO world heritage site. In addition, its more than 1,500 tax-reduced shops, high-quality hotels and the variety of its services make the principality the land of great experiences.

Welcome to Andorra, welcome to Soldeu and our luxury hotel at the foot of the Grandvalira slopes.

Soldeu is mountain culture
A small village at an altitude of 1,850 m at the foot of the slopes of the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees.
A unique location to enjoy nature all year round.
Snow in winter and a golf course in summer.
With a wide range of leisure activities for you to enjoy on your time off. Mountain activities, traditional restaurants, the small Romanesque church of Sant Bartomeu and an old town that reminds us of times in the not-so-distant past when the village relied on livestock farming.
If you get the opportunity, don't forget to visit the chapel of Sant Bartomeu de Soldeu, which offers free guided tours during the summer months. Located at the eastern end of the village, near the royal road, it is listed as an asset of cultural interest in Andorra. It was built at some point in the 17th or 18th century and reflects a style of popular religious architecture from the Baroque period. It consists of a nave that is extended with an apse, both of which are quadrangular, with a small bell-gable featuring a single arch. The porch and sacristy are attached to the south side of the nave, which is covered with a barrel vault. The floor has pillars built into the walls and the impost is created with a moulding. The interior illumination comes from two windows, one of which is in the form of an embrasure.
Inside, you will also find a 16th century Renaissance altarpiece in honour of the Patron Saint Bartholomew, which presides over the altar. It is worth noting the presence of a 15th century baldachin, the only one in the principality, with Gothic ornamental elements and a painting depicting the glorification of Jesus Christ.
A visit not to be missed if you love architecture, art or history.
